Welcome to Lea’s Lively Kitchen at It’s All Health. My name is Linnea Szymanski. As you can see, my name is complicated, but I like to keep things simple. So you can call me Lea (pronounced like Leah). I am a laid back Florida girl who loves food and the pursuit of healthiness. I am a stay at home mom working to raise my family to be as healthy and happy as we can be! The first, and most important step to being healthy is eating a diet built on a foundation of fresh, raw, unprocessed plant-based food. We are not chemically made in a factory somewhere, therefore our food should not be either: eat fresh, feel fresh!

I have been eating a high raw vegan diet since April 2010 after doing a lot of research and being my own guinea pig. I have had numerous health issues throughout the years, none of them were serious, but they were all enough to make me take a step back and say “I wonder if what I am eating is making me feel this way?” I never liked taking a pill to make me feel better, knowing that would only mask the symptoms, not get rid of them or their cause. Sure enough, each time I would get rid of a certain type of food my symptoms would disappear. I have slowly managed to get rid of all my health issues and feel the best I have ever felt, after just a few months of being high (95%) raw.
I want everyone to feel as good as I do which is why I will be sharing my favorite raw/raw fusion recipes with you. I have a library full of raw vegan and raw fusion books and hundreds of recipes I can not wait to try. Since going raw I have discovered a whole new world of fantastic food! Each week I will bring you the best of the best recipes I have tried during the week. They will all be simple, healthy and delicious. Occasionally I will try one that is a bit more work, but only if it sounds fantastic. If the end result is amazing, I will share it with you knowing that the hard work is more than worth it!
If you are new to raw or just want to introduce more deliciously healthy food into your diet, I sincerely hope that my recipes will inspire you to get a little raw! Please share any comments or questions you have for me by emailing me at lea@itsallhealth.com. If you have a recipe you would like to try but are not sure if it is worth the investment in some of the ingredients, feel free to send it to me and I will gladly try it out for you. I have been building up my pantry over the last year to include almost every raw ingredient out there. I will be happy to test a recipe out for you and let you know if it is worth the investment. For more information on the raw vegan diet, I highly recommend the books Live Food Factor by Susan E. Schenk and The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas Graham. I am looking forward to sharing with you!
