The Power of Anti-Aging Foods
Did you know that the foods that you eat can help you look and feel younger? Certain foods have molecular qualities that can repair your skin, inhibit memory loss and even prevent cancer. Here are some foods that can help you look and feel younger:
Curry – Eating curry can help ward off damaging molecules that cause memory loss. In fact, in areas of the world where curry is eaten daily, memory effecting diseases like Alzheimer’s are 75% less likely to manifest than in the US or UK. Curry is delicious, and easy to add to everyday dishes (thanks to pre-packaged curry packets that you can buy cheaply at the grocery store).
Garlic – Eating raw or cooked garlic is good for the heart and digestive system. Studies found that woman who ate a raw clove of garlic a day decreased their likelihood of getting colon cancer by half. Moreover, garlic is a more effective blood thinner than over-the-counter drugs like aspirin, which can help with circulation and your blood pressure.
Red Wine – This is my favorite anti-aging drink. Red wine contains natural anti-oxidants which protect arteries and can help reduce chronic inflammation. New studies have even found that a glass of wine a day can prolong your life by fighting off brain and heart damaging molecules.
Salmon & Tuna – These fish contain fatty omega-3 acids that can reduce chronic inflammation and make your joints feel 10 years younger. Omega-3’s can also help to improve your mood. (If you are a vegetarian, nuts like walnuts or flaxseed will do the trick).
Spinach – Dark greens have tons of good vitamins in them. Vitamin K, for instance, can help protect your eyes and also help to prevent bone-loss. Spinach also contains minerals like Zinc, which can improve the health of your hair and nails. Other dark leafy greens, like broccoli can have similar healthy effects. Just make sure not to overcook these greens, because you’ll take the good-stuff right out of em’.
